Kim Wilkie

Kim Wilkie AM has served as a Board Member of Boating Western Australia for more than 15 years. A former Member of the Australian Federal Parliament and local government councillor, Kim is also a past Commodore and Life Member of the Swan Yacht Club. He has contributed to recreational boating as a member of the Recreational Boating Facilities Scheme Panel and is a member of the Garden Island Fishing and Aquatic Association (GIFAA). As a volunteer he was honoured by receiving a Member of the Order of Australia Medal in 2012 for services to affected communities during the Victorian Black Saturday Bushfires of 2009. A lifelong boating enthusiast, Kim has explored Western Australia’s waterways for most of his adult life and brings a wide range of experience to his role on the board.
